Two bronze
elements connect a pair of soapstone bases and a pair of
steel supports that rise up from the stones. These, as
individual units, support six other bronze pieces that
provide pivot points for three bronze arms. At both ends of
each arm are bronze elements suspending different sized
bowls, allowing these to pivot as well. They are arranged in
such a manner that a smaller bowl will be under a larger one
and it, in turn, will be under a smaller one. The larger
bowls contain a quantity of water while the smaller ones
house hand blown glass receptacles that are filled with
ethanol.
