HONORS/GRANTS1994 Robin Imaging Services-Cincinnati, Ohio-Provided grant to help in the development of an interactive computer database project that deals with metalsmiths from North America. 1993 Summerfair Individual Artist's Grant 1992-93 Received the Layton Fellowship from the Art Department at University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. 1980 Awarded second place in competition sponsored by the Sterling Silversmith's Guild of America.
FIELD RELATED EXPERIENCES1994 Assistant for a special project at the Carl Solway Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio. The purpose of this project was to construct a major Nam Jun Paik installation piece to replace the one that burned in 1993 at the Ludwig Museum in Köln, Germany.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE2001 Instructor for stone setting workshop. A two day workshop in which an overview of a variety of stone setting methods was presented. Additionally made presentation regarding my jewelry and sculptural work and another presentation about things artists need to know in when considering selling their work on the internet. Spring Semester, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 1996 Instructor for CraftSummer. This was a one week workshop called, "Lost Wax Casting-From Wax to the Finished Piece." The class provided an overview to a number of methods of handling wax, the investment and burnout processes, centrifugal and vacuum casting, as well as finishing procedures. Summer Semester, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. 1996 Instructor for two classes in "Art Appreciation." These classes combine an introductory overview to art history and criticism with an actual hands on involvement in various processes of making art objects, Spring Semester, Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights, Kentucky. 1994 Instructor for "Three-Dimensional Visual Studies" (Three-Dimensional Design.)
