This piece is indeed wearable!

This partial suit of armor is fashioned, in part, after classical European armor. In this case, however, lead is used as the protective material. Lead seems a 20th Century protective material, one that shields from radiation and one that people have a fear of due to toxicity. Stamped by hand into each scale is a "NO" around which is stamped additional text, some of which can be seen on the links from the above images. Bronze elements aid in securing the lead platelets to the leather sub-structure. Each has a "NO" as well.
