Pasta Pins and Brooches |
||
From my "Macaroni and Cheese" series, these examples of brooches and pins I've made draw peoples' attention to the person wearing them. This provides a unique opportunity to subtly let loose and have a really great time. Please click on the image icons to see each in a larger photo. |

You must have seen this filled pasta before...the tortellino (the single version of the plural, tortellini) which you can now wear as a pin made of sterling silver. An striking selection that will certainly be a conversation starter. |

A mafalda (mini-lasagne), a rotino, and fusillo. Assembled to be more or less in the style of a war medal, this sterling silver pasta pin will certainly have you engaged in conversation. While most people love pasta, they seem even more interested in it when it's not on their dinner plates. |

I don't currently recall the name of the upper pasta...I need to do some research. It acts as the main part of the pin and from it are suspended three different versions of shell macaroni. |

This multi pasta pin bears the flavor of a hero's war medal. It is sequentially made up of: first a rotino, a cavatappo, then a rotella, followed by a spiral tube, and finally a pasta tubetto. They are connected by a series of silver rings that allows each to move relatively independently. This piece is really fun and a conversation stopper. Or should I say, instead, a conversation starter? |

A single piece of rigatoni is the main piece here. Attached from the inside on either side are several freely moving wires that drop down and support either medium size macaronis or mini-Swiss cheese slices. As each one will wind up somewhat differently, so too can the elements be varied on this and most other of the pasta pins. If you have a favorite pasta you wish to be included, please let me know. |
