Platinum and Gold Wedding Bands |
| Seen
below is a wedding band, the main body of which is made of platinum
with two stripes of 18K gold each circumscribing just over half the
ring. The ends of each line are terminated with 18K gold dots. The
intense white of platinum in contrast with the gold creates a wonderful
visual drama. ***Please note that this ring could be made using alternate colors of gold. This
platinum and gold wedding band is visually fairly simple while still
having a bold appearance. The platinum ring is partially filled with 18
karat gold. The result is striking, the play between the colors of the
platinum and gold being most satisfying. I generally make this type of
ring in the comfort fit style which requires that it be somewhat
thicker than most rings. While it will be somewhat heavier, it's also
more comfortable and less likely to be damaged. I'm always interested in exploring alternative possibilities for combining platinum and gold in new and exciting ways. The rings seen in the photograph are 8mm wide. As with many of my rings, this one may be made in a width slightly wider or narrower. This will affect the quantity of platinum required, and thus the price. Click here or on the tab below to return to Platinum Wedding Rings |
