The contemporary platinum wedding band seen below has a width of approximately 8mm, although a similar ring could potentially be made either somewhat narrower or wider. ***Please note that this or a similar ring could be made of white gold instead.

Carved into the top of the ring is a serpentine line that begins to descend down either side of the ring. Just below the ends of the line are set small gems, a diamond on one side and a ruby on the other.

Then on the underside of the ring is a second pair of stones. All four gemstones are set into the metal so as to be flush with the surface.
