Gold and White Gold Wedding Rings by Keith Farley |
|||||
| In this group of pages, I present a small selection of gold wedding rings I've made. In that most of the examples of wedding bands seen on my website have been made of platinum wedding bands, I suggest that you investigate that area to get a better idea of the types of rings I make. I'll happily discuss the possibility of making gold wedding bands, either of white gold, yellow gold, or rose gold or combining gold and platinum. If interested in seeing more of what I've made, please contact me at (859) 635-1996 or by email me at farley@artwork-inform.com. For your convenience, this same contact information can also be located at the top of each page. |

When making wedding rings that will likely be worn regularly, I make a point of not creating rings that will be challenging to wear. I, instead, look to create wedding bands that will be interesting to wear...in this case having one or more interactive elements between the pair of rings. The pair of white gold wedding bands seen to the right are intended to be worn by just one person...BUT with the intention opening up the possibility of being able to reconfigure them, at will, to achieve a multitude of potential combinations. A fairly simple yellow gold wedding ring that's actually more complex than it initially appears. In one set of opposing corners there are channel set diamonds while, in the other pair of opposite corners, tsavorites have been channel set. This is nearly as simple a wedding band as I make. Other than the diamonds set around the ring, the surface is completely unadorned. Click here or on the picture to the right to go to a page further describing this white gold wedding ring. |

A pair of white gold wedding bands is seen to the left with lines engraved into the outer surfaces of the rings acting as the common visual theme. A sapphire and three diamonds were set flush with the surface of the gold in the bride's ring. To view a page showing these gold wedding bands, click here or on the image to the right. |

Seen to the right is an 14K white gold engagement ring that was intended to act, additionally, as the wedding band. The center diamond is bezel set in the top of the ring. On the underside there are three additional diamonds that had a particular significance to the person who had me make the ring. As with much of what I make, there is an overall appearance of simplicity in the overall design. At the same time, it's just not as simple as it initially appears. Please click here to find out more about this white gold wedding band,two views of which can be seen to the left. |

To the right is a picture of a simple comfort fit white gold wedding band made of a white gold alloy containing palladium rather than nickel. Very minor articulations have been made in the surface of the ring, causing it to bear some degree of visual resemblance to the engagement ring.The result...a very simple and easily worn ring with character of its own. Seen to the left is another very straight forward set of platinum wedding bands. At one end of each ring, there is a greater expanse of 18K green gold. At the opposite side of the ring, the platinum is more dominant. This design is very clean and still very striking.
