While I don't make tension set rings, the resulting appearance of this platinum engagement ring (and actually nearly all of my engagement rings) shares many similarities. At the same time, it doesn't have the assorted problems associated with tension setting. The space around the stone very much dramatizes the diamond, as seen in the third photo. As much as possible, I make this type of ring in the comfort fit style which gives the inner edges slightly rounded profiles.
