| The platinum ring seen in the pictures below holds a one carat diamond, although a larger or smaller stone would also be doable. In the underside of the ring is an also channel set .10 carat diamond. As with many of my engagement rings, I additionally created a wedding band that very snugly fits this ring. I've provided a link below that will take you to a specific page regarding the wedding ring. ***Please note that a ring of similar character could also be made of gold. When inquiring about this ring, please make reference to jlngpt47 and provide a general idea regarding the finger size and a rough idea of the desired diamond size. This is a platinum engagement ring whose sides are connected by an inner platinum ring. This allows for the diamond to be channel set, a method by which the metal is hammered over the edges of the stone to hold it in place. While the inner ring is visible, its white character essentially blends with the color of the diamond. The white of the platinum in this engagement ring emphasizes the seemingly floating presence of the diamond. I've made an assortment of wedding rings to accompany and complement this ring as well as platinum wedding bands for the groom. While I don't make tension set rings, the resulting appearance of this platinum engagement ring (and actually nearly all of my engagement rings) shares many similarities. At the same time, it doesn't have the assorted problems associated with tension setting. Please click here to see why I no longer make tension set rings |
