| I point to the making of this ring as a most ambitious instance...one involving some form of cross-pollination, an offshoot of the classic Greek or Roman column woven together with the end product being wearable jewelry. A fantasy cut amethyst has been used as the center gemstone in this 14 karat yellow and white gold ring with the addition of a .50 carat diamond and six small diamonds set on the underside of the ring.
